Dr Ravaomanalina Bako Harisoa

Director

Harisoa earned her Ph.D. on Ecology from the University of Antananarivo. Her work is focusing on wood and bark anatomy and dynamic growth of Malagasy baobabs species. Member of the CITES Scientific Authority, she has also experiences on Malagasy endangered and commercialized species conservation listed in the Appendices of CITES. She is a Director and co-Founder of GSPBM.

Dr Leong Pock-Tsy Jean Michel

Co-Director

Leong Pock-Tsy Jean Michel earned his PhD on genetics from the University of Antananarivo. He is the specialist in baobab genetics since many years and he also works on the biology and ecology of Malagasy baobabs. Researcher at CIRAD Madagascar, he has been involved in several baobab research projects in partnership with the University. He is currently in charge of the FOFIFA biomolecular laboratory.

Dr Leong Pock-Tsy Jean Michel

Co-Director

Leong Pock-Tsy Jean Michel earned his PhD on genetics from the University of Antananarivo. Dr Corduant-Andriantsaralaza Seheno

Executive secretary

Seheno earned her PhD on Biology and Ecology from the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar in joint collaboration with CIRAD (French Agricultural Research Center for International Development) in France. Since her master and her doctoral, Seheno has been working on Malagasy’s baobabs ecology and her researches focuses on Malagasy baobab seed dispersal.

Dr Razanamaro Onja

Financial officer

Onja earned her PhD on Science life and Environment at the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar in joint collaboration with CIRAD (French Agricultural Research Center for International Development). She worked since 2008, so for approximately 10 years in long and a big Malagasy baobab project (ECOBAO) and provided important inputs to the achievement of this project. Onja has been a key person who provided an important data on the Malagasy pollination especially on baobab floral odor and floral characteristics.
